Our Clinical Approach

Our clinical approach to substance addiction and mental health treatment is simple; we listen and then meet you where you are. Every individual presents with a story that’s unique to him or her. From the first contact to individual, group, or family sessions, we work with you to develop a personalized plan that addresses your needs.

Clinical and Therapeutic Treatment Modalities

We pride ourselves on continuously discovering and making use of new methods, research, and activities.  Successful treatment and lasting recovery involve more than just addressing one’s presenting symptoms. This is why we offer a variety of resources, treatments, and group options. Some of our clinical offerings include therapy, medication, and support groups. Some of our therapy services include cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies. We also offer holistic services such as yoga, meditation, and nature hikes to provide a more comprehensive approach to recovery.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy provides a safe and confidential space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is a collaborative process between the therapist and client that focuses on promoting healing and personal growth.

Group Therapy

Group therapy offers a supportive and safe environment for individuals to address their mental health concerns. It involves meeting with a trained therapist and a group of peers who are dealing with similar issues.

Family Therapy

Family therapy addresses the addiction in the context of the entire family and works to restore the health of both the individual and those closest to them. Depending on the desired level of involvement, individual, group, and family sessions are offered.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is an empirically-based set of psychological interventions that utilize mindfulness skills to develop psychological flexibility and help clarify and direct value-guided behavior.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is one of the most effective treatments for reducing stress and anxiety. It helps to identify negative patterns in thinking and behavior, develop strategies to change unhealthy patterns, and reduce symptoms of stress and anxiety. CBT is a non-invasive form of therapy which can be done individually or as part of a group.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a comprehensive, evidence-based practice that focuses on the two fundamental principles of acceptance and change. The goal of DBT is to aid clients in learning to identify, articulate, pursue, and maintain goals. DBT skills increase the person’s ability to successfully manage daily life stressors and to build a life of recovery and wellness.

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

MI is a goal-oriented and person-centered approach that seeks to engage individuals, increase internal motivation, and bring about behavioral change. Treatment options are discussed openly with clients, who contribute their own ideas and solutions regarding their care. Open dialogue is used to explore ambivalence towards treatment or recovery and support belief in oneself.
